The ROC 4 AGING+ Community Action Groups consists of three priority areas: policy, programs, and communications. The three action groups help to actualize the recommendations and/or national strategy of the national community action groups (NCAB). The overarching goal of the community actions groups is to ensure that people with HIV ages 50 and older are included in the planning and decision-making process that impact their treatment, health, and quality of life.
Policy Action Group
Members of the policy action group will guide centralization of thought and communication to inform national policies that impact the field of HIV and aging. The policy action group will monitor federal legislation, policies, and regulations. Members will also provide policy makers with expert knowledge to assist their efforts to improve the provision, funding, and coverage of services to people living with HIV who are aging.
